Our son has gone from having severe tics to barely any. His sensory issues have decreased, he sleeps better, his behavior has improved. Thank God for Dr. Baptist. If it weren\'t for him, our 3 yr. old would be heavily medicated. The treatment is a lot of work, but so worth it! Yes, there is testing involved. However, I would rather run tests to find the causes than just be given medicine for a symptom.  all : 4.19

After atopy testing at the local children\'s hospital we were fortunate to find Dr. Baptist. Local children\'s hospital didn\'t detect any food or pollen allergies although my child required two allergy meds year round. Dr. Baptist did detailed testing and discovered numerous allergies & intolerances. Once my child started allergy shots & eliminated foods from the diet the chronic sinus problems disappeared. He is direct and if you choose not to follow his suggestions he won\'t candy-coat over it. We haven\'t done everything exactly as he recommends but we\'ve easily managed to maintain our relationship and have seen great improvements in our child. Insurance covered the testing. Dr. Baptist has spent a lot of time listening to my concerns.  all : 4.88

We were so thankful for someone that was actually interested in treating my son\'s allergies. While he did order many labs for other imbalances, they proved to be necessary as many of them were abnormal and needed to be addressed. Also, our insurance covered all but one of the tests (the hair sample). None of our other health care providers had even wanted to address these issues.  all : 4.94

What a fiasco! Dr. Baptist has a poor bed-side manner and didn\'t explain the testing or results to us. He recommended atopy shots, but after doing that for my son for many months, our local allergist and Mayo Clinic advised us to stop for there was no reason to continue them. Better yet, his accountant billed us repeatedly for charges our insurance company indicated we should not pay nor be billed for. Dr. Baptist\'s office wasn\'t even aware of their contract with United Healthcare. After requesting documentation our acct was paid in full she wrote us a very nasty and unprofessional letter how we were being irresponsible in not paying the excess charges of over $1000.00 We will never use him again and feel like something is not quite right about that place.  all : 1.69

Any patient should know that Dr. Baptist is not a Board Certified Allergist. He claims to be an allergist, but has no formal training in an accredited program. His methods are extremely expensive, inaccurate, and harmful. Please People...see a Board Certified Allergist for your and your children\'s care. This guy is a complete quack and very, very dangerous!!!  all : 1

He told us that my 2 year old son had severe allergies based on his skin \'prick\' tests and recommended we start atopy shots. He also wanted us to do a ton of lab work (which is not covered by insurance since he uses non-standard laboratories). Luckily we got a second opinion by an allergist at Children\'s Mercy Hospital. Come to find out, my son doesn\'t have severe allergies, he has sensitive skin. Any scrap or prick on my son\'s skin will look like an allergic reaction - Dr Baptist should have know this, but jumped to conclusions. Most of Dr Baptist\'s tests are NOT reproducible!! He does NOT follow the standards set forth by the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology. He recommends allergy shots for 99% of his patients. ALWAYS get a second opinion with this guy!!  all : 1.75

Dr. Baptist is my family\'s hero! We were told our daughter would be half her age the rest of her life. We and her therapists did not believe this since she is so smart. Her issues were all neurologically based (sensory, poor balance, weak right side, poor speech, low tone). Through biomedical intervention(methylation, gfcf, allergen free diet,anti-fungals,allergy shots, supplements)our daughter went from not participating in life to telling on her sisters and telling us she loves us too. Her balance is not an issue and she has gained so much confidence! This treatment is hard work on the parent\'s part but is necessary. I have to add that Dr. Baptist\'s staff couldn\'t be better. My children look forward to getting their atopy shots! I am extremely thankful for Dr. Baptist\'s practice!  all : 5

Dr. Baptist misdiagnosed my father in law for years and when the correct diagnosis was made of a rheumatoid disease after a lifethreatening complication, Dr. Baptist was politely called and informed of the diagnosis and he became very defensive and kept saying what am I supposed to do? Very disappointed. I wanted nothing it was just a call to the treating physician of what had transpired and obvioulsy he did not want to know.  all : 1.94

We have been taking our two children to Dr. Baptist for over three years and have seen very good results. Dr. Baptist gets to the root cause of the problem instead of treating symptoms only. He does extensive testing which can be quite expensive. Pre-pay if you can in order to get the cash discount price for each test and then file the insurance claim yourself. Dr. Baptist has always returned our phone calls and goes to great lengths to explain intricate details and how things work. We will continue going to The atopy Link indefinitely and would highly recommend it to anybody dealing with Autism or any other "untreatable" condition.  all : 4.88

While his bedside manner is a little off (he may be on the spectrum himself), We have had good results working with Doctor Baptist. He has never "upcharged" any tests or services, and has not pushed any products that his office sells on us. While he could be trying to make money one atopy shot at a time, it seems there would be easier ways to fleece people for money if that was his goal.  all : 4.75

My belief is that Dr Baptist has no real concern or ethics when it comes to the care of children with autism and has continusly taken money and has precribed medication and vitamins to my son without progress and has no reason or explination as to why. and tells my ex-wife one thing and me another. He is not to be trusted!!!  all : 1
